A storm of love & affection passed by,
And swept us on our feet
A hurricane of trials followed through,
It devastated a friendship, almost ruined a dream
With the sudden blow of mishaps that happened,
Trust was broken, feelings were hurt
I have high hopes for reconciliation, for forgiveness
And not of bitterness, or of bridges burnt
When the inundation has abated,
And subsided the flood that once was deep
We’d figure, we’re wedged with each other
For you, for me, for us; that’s all we need
“Let’s just enjoy every moment," in my ear you whispered,
"I'm not afraid anymore, and you know it's true"
"At night it’s a relief to put out the light," I whispered back,
"And lie enclosed in the warmth of you.”

@jay: hey there!! thanks!! :) uhm, Magpie Tales, as the blog description puts it: "is dedicated to the enjoyment of poets and writers, for the purpose of honing their craft, sharing it with like-minded bloggers, and keeping their muses alive and well." The blog owner would post a picture every week, and followers would write a poem, a vignette, or a story about it..
@leo: hihihi.. me already!! :)
The calm after the storm, the welding together by the fires of adversity. Love it!

muy sympatico guwapito romantiko!! ayos!!
@i am max: oh, hey there! thank for finding my piece heartfelt. believe me, i'm a neophyte in poetry. but, recent events brought about an "outpouring of the heart," which turned into something like this poem of mine that you've just read.
so, don't stress yourself too much in wanting to make beautiful poems in a snap. when you compose, just let the feelings and the words flow. also, read and practice. you're young, and i'm sure mabilis ka pang maka-absorb ng new learnings. masarap matuto; so, take your time. :)
thanks for leaving a comment and following!
