I must admit, reading the Désolé Boy's recent post scared the crap out of me... I couldn't stop thinking about it...
Who would've thought an almost similar event would happen to me?
On my way home, I boarded this jeepney going to the train station. There were only 5 passengers inside, which is good, so I sat lazily occupying a lot of space. The driver is young, and the way he drives pretty much attests to that.
There was an intersection up ahead. The only car in sight, on our lane, was a brown gold car and we're a bit far from it. When the red light turned green, the brown gold car moved and we were fast approaching. The young jeepney driver stepped on gas, harder, as we could feel the jeepney's speed accelerating. Then, for some reason, it happened...
The brown gold car stopped...
"P*ta!" shouted the driver. And the next I heard was a loud screech in unison with shrieks and shouts.
I remember seeing a really bright light... A blinding light...
When I regained my senses, I noticed all of us, the passengers, were thrown to the front part of the jeepney. I looked for my bag, and grabbed it. I checked my body, no wounds.
"I'm alright..." and let out a sigh of relief... "We're all ok..."
We didn't hit the brown gold car. The young jeepney driver was instinctive enough to turn the wheel after stepping hard on the brakes.
I tried getting up, and suddenly... "Arrgghh!" I felt a sharp pain on my left wrist. :(

it's a good thing that you and all the passengers were not seriously wounded. it was not yet your time, i believe. marami ka pang isusulat. :]
