Beguiled

His sweetness is matched
With flowery words
A lethal mix, indeed

Both of us gave in,
The dalliance went on
Almost swept us on our feet

He told me this
He told me that
His aspirations and his dream

He, then, flicked fire
To which I played
Then I flickered back to him

And on he played
With his flute of gold
To lure me inside his fort

Woe to me
I was ensnared
No, I was enamored

To the harmonies he played
I was spellbound
And to his charms I bent

Alas, it was what he turned me into
A creature that slithers
A serpent

So you were turned into a serpent!
You were betrayed by "flowery words
A lethal mix, indeed".
